(Ref. Address correction in Powys)

Thank you Will, great research! Where on earth did you find that map?

A bad estimation of a vanished pub on my part based on an incorrect address.:o

It looks like the Goose & Cuckoo had a different name too - "The Ca----- Arms"

Looks like it was The Carpenters Arms (http://www.yelp.co.uk/search?cflt=pubs&find_loc=Llangadog%2C+Carmarthenshire).

Just got lucky, I guess.

You might be interested in this old photo (http://www.orchardweb.co.uk/llangadog/histphotos.html) of the pub which I found before I discovered the map. It matches the present day street view (https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=llangadog&hl=en&ll=51.936513,-3.880277&spn=0.015373,0.027595&sll=47.73855,12.508828&sspn=34.38792,56.513672&hnear=Llangadog,+Carmarthenshire,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=51.937697,-3.882851&panoid=ZvuUzMebeOZLNkx57pMZJQ&cbp=12,159.56,,0,2.1) almost perfectly.

Thanks for all your map point corrections in Powys. I'm going there for a couple of days cycling next week and hope to pick up a few photos and one or two reviews while there. I usually prepare for trips by checking all map points that are "best guess" (just to make sure the pubs I'm looking for really exist) but you've saved me that chore.

But I can't guarantee that they are still open! :D:D:D
