Tee's Wine Bar has now become the Wellington. Straightforward enough one would think, but the Wellington already exists as a closed pub. It was a large Watney's pub that occupied the whole corner of Turnpike Lane and Green Lanes. The current bar is a small section of the original pub, the main part of which has changed from a Burger King to a Costa Coffee.
According to North London CAMRA it is now an Irish themed bar and stocks Doombar (I'm trying to contain my excitement here).
I thought that there must be an error with the postcode as the building shares it with the closed Queen's Head which is the best part of a quarter of a mile away at the opposite end of Duckett's Common.
The answer lies in the address, The Queen's Head is 677, Green Lanes and this building is 679.
