Couple of decent sessions ,I really like Barnsley Better brewed by Wentworth but BOTW went to Dark Star's Art of Darkness which at 3.5% was still packed with flavour and a well crafted bitter finish. It tasted more like a porter without the poke rather than a dark mild but it went down easily in The George,Croydon.

Next week may be popping into The Riser in Berko,a safe bet for a BOTW.

Beer of the week is,
Darkstar Art of Darkness, only 3.5 % but bursting with flavour, doesn't taste like it looks but fruity and bitter, the nearest similar beer I can think of is Timothy Taylors Ram Tam which is fairly rare down south since the demise of the Brickmakers (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/24569/).Other beers this week were ,
Courage Best
Fullers London Pride
Cheddar Ales Potholer
West Berks Dr Hexters Healer
West Berks Maggs Magnificent Mild

Here's the ones for this week.

Cronx Kotchin 3.9%
East London Brewing Company Foundation Bitter 4.2%
Redemption Urban Dusk 4.6%
Naylor's Northern Gold 5.0%
Brodie's Citra Pale 5.0%
Brodie's Old Street Pale 5.0%
Brodie's Jamaican Stout 5.3%
Brodie's Spiced Saison (keykeg) 7.0%
Magic Rock Human Cannonball (keykeg) 9.2%

Most of these were pretty good, but the Spiced Saison was gassy like proper keg or a bottle so I wo'nt be bothering with that one again. The Kotchin was rather bland.

The award goes to East London Brewing Company Foundation Bitter at the Coronet in Holloway Road for £2.09. It's everything a brown cooking beer should be; clear, hoppy and very easy to drink. The Redemption Urban Dusk was also very good. Both of these breweries seem to be producing great quality beers, so I just hope that they can prosper given all the competition around.

Only uninspiring eurofizz this week, the best of which was BOTW Leffe.

Unfortunately, another quiet week for me, not helped by feeling off-colour over the weekend. Just the four to choose from:

Fernandes - Malt Shovel MILD.
Fernandes - Folklore.
Doctor Morton's - Nasty Medicine.
Fullers - Black Cab Stout.

I enjoyed them all. Great to have some Black Cab Stout again, but the blend of Green Bullet, Centennial and Cascade hops in the Nasty Medicine really hit the spot.

Only managed a few pints this week, mostly in Berkhamsted on Saturday where BOTW was Tring Side Pocket for a Toad in The Goat Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14402/).

A nice golden, citrus session ale and an ideal first pint of the day.

Mallinsons Pondrasper tried in Old Bell Tavern (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/55419/) passed the 3 pint test with ease.

It would have passed the almost unheard of 4 pint test, but it ran out. :p:cheers:
