The Thorntree Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7505/) is actually Thorn Tree Inn.
I'm not sure about The Gate Hotel (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7468/). It now seems to be more of a shop, called Designate, but apparently it's still licensed: "licensed arts venue", it says on the corner of the building - which doesn't help me much, and unfortunately I didn't cross the threshhold when I was in Matlock today. Their website (http://www.designateproducts.co.uk) is not clear on this point and their facebook entry (http://www.facebook.com/pages/designate-At-the-gate/233553819996440) calls it a cafe. I hesitated to mark it as closed - your call.
The Monk Cellar (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/56035/) is now called Monk Bar.
I have submitted a new pub, The Crown (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/newpubs/23789/). This needs some explanation, as there is a Wetherspoons of the same name and in the same postcode. The original Crown is listed on the Lost Pubs Project (http://www.closedpubs.co.uk/derbyshire/matlock_crown.html) with a photo and description that confirms it is not the same as the current 'Spoons pub. The intersection of the roads at this point is named Crown Square, and there's quite a nice bit of stonework in the corner of the building which features in one of my photos. Sorry for going on, but I didn't want you deleting it as a duplicate!
