Reported 18 Feb, Gales Brewery buildings now sold by Fullers for housing and "redevelopment"

"Fullers have now announced it has been sold to Burton Property and Bargate Homes who will both develop the site.

It is believed housing and shops will be set around an open square with the iconic, listed tower as its focal point. "

It was inevitable. I just wonder how long Fuller's will hang on to their immensly valuable slice of real estate in Chiswick. When conditions improve it will be very tempting for them to sell it off and use some of the proceeds to buy extra capacity through a joint venture somewhere else, like for example Bedford, and spend the rest of the money on unfortunate refurbishments of their tied estate.
