Bad news, Fullers have a lot to answer for but I suppose business is business. Looks like a mini village being built on the site, shame they haven't thought to include a pub.

And according to some reports it is actually going to be spruced up, luckily it is listed so hopefully it will be sympathetically done

Last proper spruce up was decades back, so long overdue

That would be about the last time I was in there, just after a trip round the brewery, I wonder what happened to the Fermenting Vessel a former head brewer drowned himself in? As I remember it most Gales pubs were a bit scruffy, apart from the ones they got in the Bass pub swap.
