The Peaks (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7373/) in Chapel doesn't appear to exist. I can't find it on Street View (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=SK23+0HP&hl=en&ll=53.324212,-1.912141&spn=0.000791,0.00169&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=6.558824,13.842773&t=h&hnear=Chapel-en-le-Frith+SK23+0HP,+United+Kingdom&z=19&layer=c&cbll=53.324191,-1.911875&panoid=znmZD7rm5CmoI6q_8nmLhQ&cbp=12,226.26,,0,5.5), where the address is occupied by a modern-looking Chinese take-away. There is no mention on the Lost Pubs Project (http://www.closedpubs.co.uk/derbyshire/chapelenlefrith.html) either. With a name like "Peaks", it's a lost cause trying to Google it in this part of Derbyshire. I'd love to cycle over there and take a picture, but I'd need convincing that there's something there before committing myself. :) (or possibly )

Please delete.

Iv'e just been up and down the street on street view and my best bet is if it did exist it has been demolished and is now home to the Chinese mentioned.

I have been through Chapel en le Frith hundreds of times on the trans Peak from Nottingham and i think i have done all pubs in that town,i started going through it around 1990 and i have never noticed a pub of that name on that road and i consider myself pretty good at spotting pubs and then doing them.
That is my two penneth worth.

Hi guys,

The evidence does seem to suggest it was never there. Now deleted.

Thanks for that.
