FWIW my grandparents lived just over the road [Halls Terrace] and had a shoe makers shop there, oh and my great grandad was knocked down on his return from the nearby Star, which for some reason does not appear on PUG under Hillingdon Heath, closed pubs. It was, surprise, at junction of Star road & the Uxbridge Road. From Google maps looks like block of flats now
