Two contenders up to now the Mallard in Worksop and the Royal Oak in Aubourn,i car'nt make a decision yet as i am going on a pub crawl round Norwich next week which will hopefully net me 20 new pubs.
I will make my final choice after the Norwich crawl.

No more new pubs for me this month so.....

This months POTM is going to be Walters (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/62484/) in Hull.

17 handpumps for real ale + 6 for real cider and NO draught lager.

Very friendly staff and all the beer was well kept.

The Slip (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/58608/) in York has been the best pub I've been in this month by a short nose from the Boltmakers in Keighley.

Tough choice this month - the Blue Bell and Brigantes in York were both excellent but I can't look past the Tan Hill Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/62929/) - well worth the serious mission to get there

The Tan Hill seems to be a bit of a Marmite pub. A lot of visitors think it's seriously overrated, but like you, I loved it.

June has been very quiet on the new pubs front. However, I really enjoyed visiting Whitelocks First City Luncheon Bar (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/54017/) again after a good few months. Wonderful interior, friendly young bar staff and the beer range seems better than ever.

Lots of new pubs to me for June, my finall choice for pub of the month goes to the White Lion in Norwich, this is a cracking pub with a good choice of real ales and a better choice of real Ciders.

The first pub I went to when I arrived in Manchester 3 weeks ago - The Angel (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/25731/). Lots of different ales on, and the ones we had were all fine. There is also a professional piano player on a Saturday afternoon which is unusual. Very friendly barstaff who got through the large number of thirsty drinkers quite quickly.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr Aleandhearty about the Whitelocks (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/54017/) in Leeds, a great and characterful boozer with a fine ale range. I was also very taken by The Grove (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42740/) and its regular stocking of excellent Ridgeside beers but POTM has to go to The Boltmakers (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/40834/) in Keighley for its warm and convivial atmosphere but mostly for its TT Landlord which simply refuses to stay in the glass.

Quite a few good pubs visited in June, the http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/11489/ particularly sticks out because of the great welcome. The Landlord was passionate about his beers

Two visits in the month to The Grove (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42740/),Leeds convinced me to make it POTM.The combination of an interesting interior, very fine ale and being close to both the station and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal made this a real winner.First time I have ever come across Ridgeside beers,a brewery I will be keeping a weather eye open for in future.
