Left a message on another site. I am arriving in Scotland for my first time on May 30th of this year. Just kind of driving around the country staying here and there with nobody to worry about except myself. Looking for some good pubs in the areas of Perth, St Andrews, Inverness, Fort William, and Edinburgh. These are places I will be staying in. I am in my in my fifties and just looking for some older laid back pubs and restaurants. But hey if there is something I should see, well lets just say I spent most of my first thirty five years in pubs and the sort. Hope to hear from someone soon. I am travelling from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Kingston is approx 230 kms from the provincial capital of Toronto.

My in-laws are visiting family in Guelph at the moment...Not that far from you as far as I know.

I’ve never been to Scotland, but some on here have made the trip across the border so maybe they have some suggestions.

Actually Guelph is about 450 kms from Kingston but depending on how you look at distance it could be considered close. Oh and where is Easbourne?

Eastbourne is on the south coast of England about 100km south of London. I’m about the same distance from Glasgow as you are from Guelph.
