Can the area 'North Paignton' be changed to the correct title of 'Preston'?

You can do this yourself - just move each pub out of North Paignton and create a new area called Preston. (Looking at the map, one of them appears to be a bit further west than Preston, so perhaps you could leave that in North Paignton - I don't know the area, just going by the map.) I think these areas denoted by compass point are only meant to be a kind of holding area until someone with local knowledge comes along and corrects them.

So when an area is empty is it deleted or are there loads of erroneous places knocking about with no content in them?

The pub you mention to the west is now a Co-op so it doesn’t really factor. I will clean this area up when I’ve cleared my back log.

When you remove the last pub from the area it no longer exists.:) I think of the area as a property that is shared by each of the pubs in it. If there are no pubs, nothing has the property and it no longer exists.

Though someone else can recreate it, of course. :(

Ok, Well I am assuming that it is the Tom Cobley (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/8460/) that is now a Co-op. But will wait for a closure report before dealing with it.

The rest of the pubs are now listed as Preston (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/areas/preston/devon/).
