I'm tearing up Wycombe tomorrow but the good pubs are fairly spread out. This is a long shot, but does anyone know anything about the buses in Wycombe? I'm looking at trying to get to The General Havelock (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/2267/) and The Swan Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/2318/) and The Half Moon (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/2273/) as my outliers. I've had a look at the bus stop stuff on the individual pub pages but I'm jiggered if I can work anything out in terms of 'what number bus do I need'...

Personally Quinno, my advise would be dont do it !
Local folklore would have it (or folklore put about by those who had the misfortune to have to work in High Wycombe for 5 years in the 80's) that High Wycombe was formed when the Devil stood on the top of Cressex Hill and his sperm roled down the hill to settle in the valley below....

Hi Quinno

I tried to do High Wycombe whilst I was there for the football a few months ago. I only managed three pubs in the end, because the ground is so far from town, but I had planned to go to the Half Moon, which can be reached on buses 32 and 33 which leave from the main bus station near the The William Robert Loosley (JD Wetherspoon) (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/2277/). Not sure about the other two pubs you mention.

The Bootlegger and the Belle Vue are both worth a look, although I suspect you already know that.

From the Half Moon, turn right up Desborough Park Road until you get to West Wycombe Road. Should only be a couple of minutes walk. There is a bus stop there which has buses running to the Swan. Take your pick from numbers 2a, 31, 40, 275, 331 and 655. Most, if not all, of these will return you to the central bus station.
