I agree with Al Bundy's 'Review' on The Cheshire Cat (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/27281/) in Thornton Hough that this pub does not exist. It might have been an old name for (or demolished for) the large Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa complex at the same postcode.
It did have a 'bus point' on "Fix my Transport" http://www.fixmytransport.com/stops/thornton-hough/neston-roadparkgate-lane-neston-roadparkgate-lane--2?v=1 but it is only on the "Public purchased lists" on Google.
I think it needs to go.

Edit- After Farway's comment, perhaps it should stay to see if Thornton Hall still has a bar called The Cheshire Cat or anything else.
It looks awfully posh on the website. Not the sort of place to sup 6 pints before watching Tranmere!

Oh dear, seems a trend starting here, the Cheshire Cat did exist & was the "pub" part of Thornton Hall complex. I used to stay here in the 1980s, it was a large hotel complex,on opposite side of road to that shown

Guess it will join the Parkgate in room 101?

PS Hope the Seven Stars is still there further up the road, many a 4 pint lunchtime spent there

Hi Alan, Farway,

We have deleted that one now.

If the only review on a pub is to say it doesn't exist then we may as well delete it as anyone visiting it isn't going to see reminisces posted on the forum. If you want the listing to stay post a review on the pubs page.

Thanks for that.

Any review of mine for either the Parkgate or Cheshire Cat would date from the 1980s, so not really useful & thus I shall not add anything, expecially as they no longer exist

Hi Farway,

I would rather you posted your reviews on the main site rather than on the "That Doesn't go There" forum.

Comments like this just obfuscates my job in doing corrections, this forum is here to ask for corrections to the main site, please stop posting comments here.
