Cant see it ever working well with real Ale and hand pumps. Also where do you get your a clean glass from.

I remember a landlord many years ago who used to like telling customers that if they could pull a handpumped pint from their side of the bar, they could have it free. Then pointing out that they had, in fact, "pushed" it!!

Soup Dragon will bear witness to this but it seems to be a Midlands phenomenon where cask ale (Banks's Mild and Bitter, most notably) is drawn through an electric pump from the cask to the bar. So it could work!

I found an embryonic form of this idea some time ago here Cross Keys (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/54757/) but was unconvinced as I still am. What will we end up with, rows of beer seating stations with the "supervisor" wandering around dealing with issues, unmanned bars with no one with the required know how? What utter crap.
I won't use them in supermarkets never mind in a pub. Garbage.
